Holding Patterns is a bar/cafe specialising in high quality coffee and cocktails, soundtracked with one of the best hifi listening systems in Leeds. The venue is home to regular DJ nights, an intimate social area and good vibes, always. We’re a community of culture-lovers, tucked away in the heart of everything.

We’ve thought hard about the sort of sound experience we’re creating for Leeds…
We’ve picked Martin Audio for our sound system and installed GIK Acoustics Alpha 2a diffusers and absorbers to keep it crisp, easy to talk over AND easy to get lost in. We’ve got Technics & Pioneers, with a Radius 4 Valve mixer from the legends over at Master Sounds– the cleanest set up around for our digital and vinyl DJs playing something for everyone.
We have selectors coming down our steps almost every night to play the best stuff they can find. We’re sure you’ll hear the difference.

We care a lot about coffee.
Our machine is a San Remo 8 – it’s insanely versatile, with customisable temperature controls, so coffee is extracted to its optimum flavour profile and has consistent quality for every cup.
Beans are provided by Casa Espresso from up the road in Shipley, who specialise in bringing the most sought-after beans from Brazil and all over – coffee for coffee lovers.
